About Geoff & Guardian IT Solutions
My repair journey started when I was 22 years old, working as a technician for Rogers and learning how to repair phones from the inside out. What started as a technical job quickly became something much bigger. I realized I liked solving problems, helping people understand their devices, and being the person they could trust when their technology stopped working.
In 2007, when my son was born, I started Cellphone Doctor out of my house. At the time, it was just me, a workbench, and a growing number of customers who needed honest, reliable help with their phones. The business kept growing, and by 2013 we had become too big to run from home. That is when we expanded into a retail storefront.
Not long after, we were approached by CPR Cell Phone Repair and given the opportunity to become part of their franchise group. That allowed us to keep our local, hands on approach while adding the support of a larger repair network.
Over the years, CPR Cell Phone Repair has grown far beyond just cell phones. Today, we repair phones, tablets, computers, laptops, game consoles, drones, and all kinds of electronics. We have even repaired things most people would not expect, including microwaves. If it has a board, a screen, a battery, a port, or a problem, there is a good chance we have taken a look at it.
But as our business grew, we started seeing a bigger need.
A lot of Calgary businesses do not have someone they can call when their technology starts slowing them down. They either wait until something breaks, rely on a random person who “knows computers,” or get stuck dealing with IT companies that make everything feel complicated, expensive, and frustrating.
That is why I started Guardian IT Solutions.
Guardian IT Solutions exists to give Calgary businesses practical, local IT support without the runaround. We help businesses keep their computers, networks, devices, and day-to-day technology working properly, so owners and staff can focus on doing their jobs instead of fighting with their systems.
What makes us different is our background. We did not start as a faceless IT company selling complicated packages from behind a desk. We came from years of real world repair work, customer service, troubleshooting, and helping people when their technology failed at the worst possible time.
We understand how important speed, honesty, and clear communication are. When a device is down, a computer will not start, a staff member cannot log in, or a business owner is worried about backups and security, they do not want a lecture. They want someone who will explain the issue clearly, fix what can be fixed, and recommend the right next step.

Outside of work, I am a father of four and I spend a lot of my free time playing hockey. That part may not sound like it belongs on an IT page, but it does say something about how I work. I believe in showing up, being dependable, working as a team, and not making excuses when people are counting on you.
